I use it for catching catfish-tightline. Great combo for snagging(little easier with longer rod, but this combo is light so you don't wear out as quick) Casts smooth and really far! One of the best reel/rod combo's out there!
great combo, February 15, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000i Series Combo, 8-Feet 6-Inch, Medium Heavy (Sports) i just recieved this rod reel combo today and im impressed! i have some other smaller abugarcia reels and their of great quality. i havnt had a chance to use this outfit yet because of winter but this spring im sure it will hold up as good or better than the other equipment i already have. this combo is an outstanding value with getting the rod and reel together at a rediculously low price! on other sites the reel alone is 160 and up great quality and price makes this purchase a winner!!
